Red Ribbon Ride and Heat

Well I just got done with the 2011 Red Ribbon Ride. It was hot and cold. The first day started off cool and was pretty easy, we biked from the Mall of America to Lake City. Day two we woke up in Lake City to a cool morning. Not long after 11am the storm came in and boy did it storm. Thunder, lots of lightening and down pouring rain in buckets. We were held up in a 150 year old church for 2 hours or more and sang old songs. It was a blast although we had to be done with the bike route for the day. It was the first time the ride has closed for a day. Then came day 3 and the heat, it was a pretty normal day except it was over 100 with the heat index. Day 4 the final day it was very hot, I rode half the route then there was an injury and I took over sweeping until the end.

I love the Red Ribbon Ride and it's a big part of why I want to lose weight. This weekend I have the warrior Dash Sunday. I hope I can do it and not hurt myself. The weight loss has slowed but I have to keep working on it. All the summer bbq's bring temptation but I need to hold firm in will power to not eat bad things.
I still hope I can drop another 10 pounds this summer before the kids start school in the fall.
