Gladiator Hammer, Fishing for a Dog with Salad, and a little Shakeology tossed with P90x and Red Ribbon Ride!

Here I am, a month out from surgery and I am really starting to feel normal again.

I have not started P90X yet but I did sign up for 6 more weeks of Gladiator with trainer Tony at the Uptown YWCA. There is something about this class that I just love. It's a really hard workout and all the people in class are super supportive. We are all in really good shape and I think it help to focus on a weight loss or fitness goals while surrounding yourself with people who also motivated. The above picture is me with my favorite hammer.

In class we do lots of Crossfit and ultimate fighting inspired workouts. I have fallen off with the kettle bell a little and I need to start doing it at home. One of the big reasons I don't usually take Gladiator in the summer is because we run outside every class. This wouldn't be so bad if everyone in class aside from me wasn't a runner. We do line runs, where we run and the last person in line sprints to the first positions and we keep rotating for about five minutes. On the plus side it does help my cardio a lot. I am starting this week to get on my bike again for the Red Ribbon Ride. My Dr said I had to take a month off the bike and I am feeling like it's time to bike as much as I can.

My weight has been going good, I hit 262.7 this week. A new low! I have been eating lot's of salad and Shakeology. My wife has gestational diabetes this pregnancy and it has been hard for her, I would say it has been good for my diet. We are really cleaning up all the junk food in the house. I have even got the dog eating salad!

Next up maybe our fish =)

I am really excited to go into summer much thinner than last year and with a goal I feel I can reach with some work. I have almost exactly 2 months until the Red Ribbon Ride and I want to be at 250 the first day of the ride. It's time to put in some work. This weekend I went fishing and did a lot of cardio at home, both on the treadmill and on my bike. I aways supplement my workouts with 8 hours of sleep a night and lots of water. I hope I can keep it up when we have the new baby. I think the last 2 weeks of September are going to be all about diet and not so much exercise to keep the weight stable. I am soo excited for our 4th   child and 3rd son.

Please leave me comments and let me know what you would like me to write about and what has worked for you. Or what has not worked for you!
